The government is looking at the potential to move the G.C.E. (A/L) examination to April instead of August.
Currently the students who sit for the examination in August have to stay for nearly 2 years for their university admission. According to the State Minister of Higher Education Mohan Lal Grero, this long wait is a considerable waste of time for those students and even caused to change their minds towards university admission.
Considering the situation, steps will be taken to hold this examination in April and to finish the university admission process within 8 months after the examination.
State Minister said that the discussions in this regard have also been held with the Ministry of Education and other relevant university authorities. (Govt.Info)
