The police arrested a man possessing 470 milligrams of heroin in Seeduwa police division along Seeduwa-Kotugoda Road.
Seeduwa Police arrested the suspect near Kotugoda Maha Vidyalaya following a tip-off.
They have also recovered two live ammunition from the the suspect's possession, the Police Media Unit said.
The suspect is a 34-year-old resident of Handala, Wattala. He is to be produced before the Negombo Magistrate's Court and Seeduwa Police is investigating.
