A group of estate workers held a protest wearing black armbands at the Hatton town today demanding authorities to increase their daily wages up to Rs.1000.
Several unions and civil society organizations too had joined the protest supporting the workers demand. The workers demanded the Government to fulfil the promise of increasing the daily wage up to Rs.1000, starting from today’s May Day.
